STATUS OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES IN PERU

Nowadays learning foreign language is a necessity for the Peruvian population since the development of the economy occurs in the companies which require languages that are spoken around the world for a good communication.

1.      THE IMPORTANCE OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN COUNTRY

The effects of globalization on Peru are making a foreign language a necessity for citizens. The use of foreign languages is very important in areas such as tourism, trade, international relations, science and media. It's important to mention that to get a good job, you have to have a good command of the English language.

According to the international ranking, it's clear that Peru has a low level of English proficiency.

2.      THE CURRENT SITUATION OF FOREIGN LENGUAGE TEACHING IN SCHOOLS

For many years the school give English classes, but unfortunately the teachers aren't able to give a good teaching, which makes the students show a disinterest the foreign language. The solution is to ensure the quality of teacher training, by constantly updating new methodologies.  

3.      OPPORTUNITIES FOR LEARNING LANGUAGES OUTSIDE OF THE SCHOOL SYSTEM

Outside the school system there are many ways of studying a foreign languages, like a self-teaching, books, CD´s. But the big problem is that many people don't have the necessary interest to be able to learn. For this reason the state must organize a campaign in the different schools, offering scholarships of cultural exchange.

4.       RECOMMENDATION FOR IMPROVING PEOPLE´S FOREIGN LANGUAGE ABILITY IN YOUR COUNTRY

Usually, the best way to learn to pronounce words correctly is to travel and interact with native speakers of the language.

It is necessary that the people learn or study one or more foreign language since you can have more opportunities or benefits ,for example .If you want to find good job opportunities or good school opportunities . Also if you want to travel to another countries It is necessary to understand what other people say and have a conversation.

In our country the situation about this issue is that many teachers are not specialists in teaching a foreign language and many teachers only have basic knowledge.

But the president announced that this year he will show more interest in the foreign language courses , since he recognizes the importance of the second language. Now there are many opportunities for estudy english in our contry.  For example. The PRONAVE organizes every year a contest for students that want to study English. Like these opportunities, there are more, and only you need to  read more about this issu and practice more the foreing language every day.

INTRODUCTION
This report describes the importance to learn a foreing language in our country. I explain about a language who is one of the most spoken around the world. That's why we should learn it. Also many universities require it to apply a master degree. This language is English.

EDUCATION
All public and private schools in Peru teaches English because it is compulsory for our country but many students dont learn it, so many of them should go to private academies, for instance ICPNA, Britanico, etc.

Our goverment requires that schools teaches English for two or three hours. In my opinión it is too short to learn that language.
As you know, if you apply a master degree you must dominated a foreing language. In many cases it is English.

OPPORTUNITIES
Many universities teaches english that's why a lot of students need to learn it. Some universities consider it a business option.
Moreover, many enterprises requires bilingual workers. Most of them demand to speak English.

MEDIA
As you can analyze on internet many web sites are in English.  Besides the best information is in  that language.
Also, if we can buy devices we many times must read instructions or conditions in English.

That's why we should learn English!

ADVICE

We try to inmerse in the language. If we do it, we must be proficient.

I consider to learn English, we should take notes and memorize.

If we have questions, we should ask for help to teacher.

And finally, we need motivation to brush up the language.

There are a lot people who want to learn to speak a foreign language perfectly and dominate it. Especially, the youngers want to improve the quality of education and they will have more opportunities of job, if they know another language. But, some people don't know how to improve and practice a  foreign language.

I will give some recommendations or advices so that you can improve your ability speaking another language.

You would speak the language that you are learning, all the day, in your home, in your institute or university, when you're with your friends or with your family, you have to do it common in your life.

Another advice is, you can learn daily two new words and study them. A new vocabulary is very important to dominate a language. If you did it, you would speak fluently and you will have more words to start a good and passable conversation.

Also, you would change the language of your Facebook, Twitter, of your social pages, either on your cell phone or on your computer. This will make you more able to understand new words, and if you want, you would chat in that foreign language.

These are some recommendations that you could follow to improve your learning with a foreign language.

Don't forget your native language, which is more important than any other language and also, don't forget to practice and study every day.

You will get the perfection only if you practice.

1.The importance of foreign languages in our country

This report describes important topics to learn foreign languages, someone can say my primary language is spanish and he can get a good job and have a good life .But in this new world is very important to learn foreign langauges if you want to improve your life. Also you can have more opportunities than other people or you can get scholarships just because you know another language.

2.The current situation of the teaching of foreign languages in schools

l think in high schools the students need to know foreign languages because in this new world is very important to be prepared ,maybe, for journeys or scholarship .But if you think about our education in high schools, it is so bad in some schools you study english one hour a week .In addition, schools don't promote the teaching of foreign langauges in students.

3.Opportunities for learning foreign languages outside of the school system

l think that is neccesary to study foreign languages outside of the school for some reasons. For example, when you are in high school and you study there foreign langauges you can study just 1 or 2 hours in a week but if you study in a language institute you will focus your time just in study foreing languages for hours and you will can keep on conversations whit your teacher and ask for recommendations, as well .

4.Reccommendations

You can spend a month in the United states improving your English if you are planning to use your english for your work.

You should carry on conversations with some friends who know how to speak in a foreing language.

You should listen songs in foreing languages.

The most important recommendation is study hard.

This report describes the status of foreing languages in Peru,the most spoken foreign language in Peru is English. In the past 30 years, few peruvians spoke a languages other than spanish. Now there are  mant companies learn foreing languages.

1. Situation of teaching a foreign language in schools

In schools many times students do not have a teacher with a specialization in foreign languages. Another problem is the time they study the foreign language a week, students only have two hours a week, this usually happens in public schools, to learn English.

2. Scholarships to study abroad

Peruvians generally want to learn more, and we go outside the country to study or specialize. Diverse multiple and varied service entites offer scholarships to study in universities abroad, the problenis that they are lost because the firts requiment is to know the english languages.

3. Opportunities to learn a foreign language outside of school
As the educational system in both public and private schools is very poor as far as foreign language we speak have created many companies that teach foreign language for example ICPNA, BRITANICO, among others. All these offer basic, intermediate and advanced level certification in the foreign language. For people who have no money these institutes offer scholarships to study so there are no excuses to learn a language other than Spanish.

4.Recommendations for people to learn a foreign language in Peru.
The first thing is that people who want to learn a foreign language have to know the culture of that language, practice it as much as possible, make short conversations and always be vocabulary. At first it seems difficult but little by little you become familiar with the language. They should put a lot of effort into the language they want to learn.

Importance

As Minister of Education, I can say that foreign languages ​​are important in our country because they will open doors for anyone who can speak another language besides the mother tongue. There are many business opportunities like TLC. For example, if you want to do business with English countries it's easier to do it when you know that foreign language.

Current situation

Nowadays, schools are teaching a foreign language like English, Portuguese or German, but there is a problem, every year many of them teach the same. To give you an idea, when students are in first grade, they learn about verb to be, and the next year they are going to repeat that. Therefore, schools need to organize the structure of the course over the years.

Opportunities

Learning another language at school could be difficult because schools don't focus on that. So, if students want to improve their learning, they could go to some institute like ICPNA. Also, you can apply for a scholarship. For self-taught people, there are online programs where you can learn languages like Duolingo, so that, there aren't excuses.

Advice

When you want to improve a foreign language ability, you must involve in that language. First, try to listen audios in a foreign language for improving your listening skill. Finally, read books aloud, and talk with foreign people for improving your speaking and writing skills.

The importance of foreign language in my country has a lot of benefits for the education in the schools or universities because there are many books that they are in English, Potuguese, French or another important foreign languages, but not only that  there are also many hadwares that are in other languages, too.

 

About the current situation of foreign language in my country unfortunately it's bad becuase in public schools the teachers don`t teach well, many of them just prefer to waste the time during the clases, and besides the Minister's education doesn't increase the hours of foreign languages

 

As I said the education in my country about foreign languages are bad, but recently the president from my country stars to give scholarship to many students who doesn't have enough opportunities to study. The program of scholarship is called PRONABEC and in 2016 they offer 2000 scholarship to study English.

 

For improving people's foreign language ability could be to star to give more importance for foreign languages then people would star to buy dictionaries to shearch words that they don't understand, another way to improve foreign languages would be satr to listen to music in English or watch videos in a different language

Is well known that the people from the diferent countrys are closer, learning a new language, a foreign language, will turn into a requirement. You could think it like a tool to make sightseeing, but that's not all.

It will help you in many things, you will know new cultures, learn a new variety of music or maybe read your favorite writers in their native language, etc. The main objective is the studies, but as I said that's not all.Our country, Peru, need to prepare their students for the future, and we need to prepare a lot of teacher is many languages, because english will be the most spoken, but it's not the only one.

As the minister,many(SPA) people make(WW) about the situation of Learn(WF) English and how we could improve it.Teachers(SPA) are too important in a good educational system,because(SPA) they are (...) that give us the first steps to start studiying(SP) a new language.

(S) Is important to have a good and funtional(SP) educational system where we can learn a new language like English,(P) nowadays we live in a peiod(SP) of time where we see English everywhere,(P)on the interner,(SP) TV, Music,(CAP) business, and in generally(WF) new and best information is in English,(P) that's why it is so important in our educational system.

The situation of teaching English.
I have the certain(WF) that public schools don't have a good English teaching system.(SPA)Also,students don't take seriously learn English,(WO)because most of them think that is not important.In(SPA) our country there hay(WW) many places that offer teach English,but are few of them that give you the best quality,(P) we should be careful where we decide to study.

How we can help and improve.
