I couldn't agree with you more! We need CCTV cameras in every place. You know there are a lot of crimes around the world but I want to talk specially about our country.
A lot of offenders commit different types of crimes for example burglary, murder, mugging, shoplifting and others. They don't have a punishment because their victims can't recognize them. And if the police don't have the correct information and description about the criminals, they can't get arrested, so they get away with their crimes and they aren't afraid of doing them again.
If all places in Peru had CCTV cameras, the police would help the citizens when they are victims of any crime.
All of us have seen that a little girl was a victim of rape and then the offender killed her without mercy. But the police could arrest him thanks to a CCTV camera.
In addition, a woman stole groceries from a store and she hid them under her clothes. Then she left the store. The owner could report it to the police thanks to CCTV cameras he put one month ago. He said "if I hadn't put security cameras in my store the criminal wouldn't be behind bars now". The owner was very happy about it.
There are many cases in which these CCTV cameras are very useful, but the government have to put more of them in all the places because people can´t walk quietly in the streets without the fear of being victims of dangerous criminals.
If we had these CCTV cameras everywhere criminals would be captured immediately and all people would live in a peaceful way.
