I couldn't agree with you more! Every day we can see in the news that many crimes, from less severe crime to agravated crime, happen all over the world. However, some crimes haven't been resolved yet because the victims couldn't recognize their aggressors or there was no evidence that the defendant had committed the crime. Therefore, there are still many criminals who get away with their felonies and continue committing crimes without fear of being punished.
If only there were many CCTVs on the streets, public places and others, many criminals could have been punished and not remained free.
In fact, there are cases in which CCTV cameras have helped to prevent crimes and catch criminals in many parts of the world. For example, on 23th April, 2013, Maryorie was 16 years old when she was brutally murdered by Angel Valdivia, who had treated her since she was a child. Fortunately, a CCTV camera could record the moment the crime happened. That's why, Angel Valdivia was found guilty of first-degree murder. The jury sentenced him to go to prison for 15 years.
There is no question that CCTV cameras are very successful crime deterrent. Constantly, they're used as a investigation tool to resolve any kind of crime and keep a control over criminals.
In addition, this device can make people feel more secure due to CCTV cameras keep an area under constant surveillance. I strongly believe that if the government established a strict surveillance using CCTV cameras, any crime would be deleted in our country.
