Nelson Mandela's biography

Name: Estelita Paucar

Today, I'm going to talk about a person who was very dear to South Africans. Nelson Mandela was born in Qunu, South Africa, on July 18, 1918. His parents were Gadla and Nodekeni, he had three sisters. His first job was when he was 5 years old on a farm. Nelson Mandela studied at a mission school; Called Union College of Fort Hare; And lastly study laws in Johannesburg. Their mother tongue was Xhosa.

In 1942 he joined the African National Congress (ANC), two years later he married Evelyn Ntoko; Then in 1947 he was secretary of the youth league of that same organization; In 1952 Nelson Mandela arrived to be the deputy head of ANC; Four years later he remarries to Winnie Madikizela. February 11, 1990 is sentenced to life term for anti-government activities; Released after 27 years. After a year takes the presidency of ANC. And in 1993 he received the Nobel Peace Prize for his great support of the South Africans. He served as president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He was the first black leader to lead the executive branch, to combat racism, poverty and social inequality, and to promote social reconciliation.

Before I finish, let me say that despite accusing Nelson Mandela of terrorist his goal was always to fight against the discrimination of his country and fight for equality that is why Nelson Mandela is remembered with much respect in South Africa.
