Statutus of forengin languages of Peru-ESTELITA
This report describes the status of foreign languages in Peru, the most spoken foreign languages in Peru is English. In the past 30 years, few Peruvians spoke a language other than Spanish. Now there are many companies that teach to speak a foreign language
1. Situation of teaching a foreign language in schools
In schools many times students do not have a teacher with a specialization in foreign languages. Another problem is the time they study the foreign language a week, students only have two hours a week, this usually happens in public schools, to learn English.
2. Scholarships to study abroad
Peruvians generally want to learn more, and we go outside the country to study or specialize. Diverse multiple and varied service entities offer scholarships to study in universities abroad, the problems that they are lost because the first requiment is to know the English languages.
3. Opportunities to learn a foreign language outside of school
As the educational system in both public and private schools is very poor as far as foreign language we speak have created many companies that teach foreign language for example ICPNA, BRITANICO, among others. All these offer basic, intermediate and advanced level certifications in the foreign language. For people who have no money these institutes offer scholarships to study so there are no excuses to learn a language other than Spanish.
4.Recommendations for people to learn a foreign language in Peru.
The first thing is that people who want to learn a foreign language have to know the culture of that language, practice it as much as possible, make short conversations and always be vocabulary. At first it seems difficult but little by little you become familiar with the language. They should put a lot of effort into the language they want to learn.
