BULLYING
I think bullying can leave deep emotional scars. And in extreme situations, it can be violent threats, damage, harassment and intimidation in order to feel powerful.
Adults have a major role in helping to prevent bullying. First, the parents should recognize the warning signs that their child is involved in bullying. If your child talks to you about problems with other children at school, this is good news.
Often children don't tell anyone about being bullied. Trying to have a conversation with your child about bullying is not always easy but necessary. Then, schools are the place where children spend more time and where bullying can happen.
During the class, teachers want to establish a safe climate in class but there are always certain students with different types of bad behaviors. If teachers had time to pay attention to each child, bullying problems would be easier to control.
In conclusion, I believe that educators and parents share a collective responsability to create a culture of bullying is unacceptable and to protect kids from physical and psychological harm. All of our children need to feel safe and comfortable at school, if they are going to get an education.
