He was the first black president of South Africa from 1994 to 1999. He also won the novel peace prize in 1993.
Nelson Mandala was born in Qunu, South Africa on July 18, 1918. His parents were Glada and Nodekeni,, and he had three sisters.
He was married three times with EvelynNtoko in 1944, Winnie Madikizela in 1958 and Graca Machel.
He studied at a missionary school and studied law at Johannesburg.
Before he died on the 5th of December,2015, he said that he fought against white domination and he had fought against black domination and he was prepared to die.
