I disagree with Philip Wiley. Nowadays, we can see many families that have only one parent, and the family is going very well. For instance, my uncle is living with her two children. She works and do all the things in her house. If she gets up early, she cleans her house. If she had time to study another career, she would study a master's degree. Women are showing that they are capable to do whatever they want, so they can manage anything. If women had a special purpose, they would get it.
Another idea to support my position is, men are proving that we are capable to do somethings that women did. For example, Men are better cooker than women, all the known chefs are men. If a man knew how to cook, he would live alone. Also men are peaceful now, I see couples where the girl is more aggressive than the boy, and the boy prefers not to fight, it not happened in the past. If a man were peaceful, he would be a good example to his children. My idea is that men and women would live alone if they wanted.
