help me please 😔

Hi Nicol!
I don't know what to do ...My best friend doesn't want to talk with me since the last month ,I always see him like a brother but he told me that he fell in love with me ,I couldn't believe that I was surprised 😱I thought that he was joking  and I just started to laugh and he reacted so bad he said that I'm a insensitive person he looked very angry 🙅and told me shouting that I'm a bad person I don't like that someone shout me without reason so I told him that I'm going to talk with him again when he feel quiet and I went to my house fast... He never call me again  I sent a text message explaining why I reacted in that way and also apologizing but he said nothing His friend told me that he is very sad! and I feel guilty 😩...I don't want to lost his friendship What do you think would be a good way to resolve these? I need your advice.
