I think the article is about the purchases we make through marketing that is in the media and people always get carried away by the advertising spot and the best brand without to be aware of the price from the things.

The article speaking about of How we can bring our education in the main part that is the financial, and How we can help our children in their financial education to avoid that they are victims of the consumerism.
Here some advices to improve our behavior when we go out to shopping:
* Avoid shop thing that really did not need, and avoid shopping to alter your mood.
* Resist impulsive buying, do not shop for recreation, use your credit card wisely and know your financial status.
